Monmouth County runs a free online system called the Open Public Records Search, or OPRS. You can access it through the Monmouth County OPRS website.

The system is maintained by the Office of Records Management, a division of the County Clerk's Office. It provides free electronic access to records declared permanent and public by the state.

Tens of millions of records are on the system. New and existing record types are added every day. You can search by agency, record type, or name. Records available through OPRS include deeds, mortgages, court records, naturalizations, and many other government documents. Some of these date back to the 18th century. The system cuts the cost of managing paper records while giving the public access to historic documents from Monmouth County.
